She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Jefferson "Jake" Hulsey and Lillie Frances Wheeler Hulsey; and her brother Tracy Jefferson Hulsey. She is survived by: her husband Terry Merritt of Greensboro; her children, Dustin Merritt (Amanda), Christopher Merritt (Alicia), Jessica Merritt and Tracey Merritt (Lindsey); her sister Wanda Hulsey Kitchens; and her friend Larry. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives.
