He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Scullen and Helen Scullen; his brothers, Hugh Joseph Scullen Jr. and Jack Scullen; his stepdaughter Amy Zauel; and his grandson Owen Kulemeka.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Scullen of Greensboro; his daughters from his first marriage to Norma Petix Scullen, Mary Ellen Scullen (Andrew Kulemeka) of College Park, Maryland, Stephanie Trombly (William) of Thompsonville, Michigan, and Lynn Gray (David) of Vian, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Jennifer Zauel, Susan Zauel, Elizabeth "Biz" Wallace (John) and Rudy Zauel (Kristin); his brother Peter Scullen (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Moyenda and Chikondi Kulemeka; and his pet Rocky. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
