He was predeceased by: his father Harry T. Smith (H. T.); and his brother-in-law Gary Sansom. He is survived by: his mother Rebecca Smith; his siblings, Lynn Sansom and Joe Smith (Brenda); his nieces, Cathy Sansom Jones, Melissa Maddox (Mark) and Kendall Smith; his nephew Mark Cannon; his uncle Kenny Dunn (Lynne); and his great-nieces, Christy Duffey, Stephanie Landrum (Matt) and Allison Dunn. He is also survived by six great great nephews.
