She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman T. Washington and Katie Sue Martin Washington; her husband Thomas E. Bowles; her parents-in-law, Homer Eugene Bowles and Janie Penn Bowles; her daughter Janet Bowles Ragan; her sons-in-law, Oscar Gresham and Scott Ragan; her siblings, Bernice Washington Flynt of Forrest Park, Florence Washington Purmort, Miss Lucile Washington of Griffin and Howell Washington; her sister-in-law Jean Washington of Somerset, MA; and her nephews, Donald Purmort and Durrell Purmort of Griffin.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Bowles Gresham; her grandchildren, Lindsey Ragan, Callie Ragan Bloodworth (Caleb), Tammy Gresham Sanders and Tim Gresham; her great grandchild Scottie Claire Bloodworth of Griffin; and her nieces and nephews, Sue Purmort Pryor (Wayne) of Griffin, Donna Flynt Eidson of Zebulon, Marlin Purmort (Pat) of Griffin and Thomas S. Washington of Somerset, MA.. She is also survived by her granddaughters and her great-granddaughter — her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs. Bowles memory be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
