She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Henderson Laney and Mary Roberta English Laney; her husband James Allen Childs; and her son Jepp Childs. She is survived by: her daughters, Cyndy Hemphill (John) and Laurie James (Rick); her daughter-in-law Karen Childs; her grandchildren, Robby James (Vanessa), Matthew James, John Hemphill, Jr. (Marissa), Christopher Hemphill, Jennifer Patel (Misal), Candice Hohenstein (Robert) and Cameron Childs (Ashley); and her great grandchildren, Tanner, Chloe, Aurora, Hazel, Riley, Abbie Ruth and River.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (797 Memorial Dr, Griffin, GA 30223).
