Burney Ridgeway Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Burney Ridgeway of Griffin, Georgia, born in Barnesville, Georgia, who passed away on May 19, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Ridgeway and Roselle Jones Ridgeway; and his siblings, Doug Ridgeway, Arthur Ridgeway, Morris Ridgeway and Edna Jamerson.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Wright Ridgeway; his sons, Timothy Ridgeway (Jessica) and Derek Ridgeway (Chasity); his grandchildren, Aidan Ridgeway, Allyson Ridgeway and Colby Ridgeway; his sisters, Janice Shivers (Kenneth), Rudene Reeves (Colin) and Sue Woodard Bunn; his sister-in-law Peggy Ridgeway; and his close friend Maggie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church (158 City Pond Rd, Barnesville, GA 30204).
