He was predeceased by: his daughter Camey Wallace Carter of Olive Branch, MS; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Vivian Carter; and his great grandchild Vivi Kate Hopper. He is survived by: his wife Brenda C. Wallace of Griffin, GA; his son Charles Joseph "Joey" Wallace of Forsyth, GA; his siblings, Jerry Wallace of Meansville, GA, Vickie Cain of Molena, GA and Connie A. Womack of McDonough, GA; his brother-in-law Dr. A. Lavon Womack; his son-in-law Lee Carter of Olive Branch, MS; his granddaughter Courtney Hopper of Pope, MS; his grandson-in-law Walt Hopper; and his grandson Cody Carter of Olive Branch, MS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital to honor his name.
