He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Clayton and Ozella Tolen Vaughn; his wife Marie Edwards Vaughn; his siblings, Harold (Jerline), Alton (Katherine), Willard, Junious, Winford Vaughn (Patsy), Doris Perkins (Harris), Kathleen Evans (George) and Molly Pinson (Gray); and his brothers-in-law, Gary Chasteen and Robert Donehoo.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Vaughn (Dale) and Celia Bishop (Chris); his grandchildren, Jessica Vaughn Brinson (Brooke) and Charlie Clayton Vaughn; his great grandchildren, Vaughn Brinson, Ruthie Brinson, Jessee Vaughn and Lili Vaughn; and his sisters, Hazel Chasteen and Carol Donehoo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlie may be made to Southside Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1332 Zebulon Road, Griffin, GA 30224.
