It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Eugene Clay of Griffin, Georgia, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Smith and Nellie Thompson Smith; and his wife Bernice Entrekin Clay. He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Cavender (Thomas) and Cindy Clay-Rivera; his grandchildren, Michael McKoon and Jenny Looney (Harvey); and his siblings, Doug Smith, Durward Smith (Diane), Dianne Walker and Dot Biles (Thomas). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
