He was predeceased by: his parents, L. E. Ethridge and Julia Ruffin Ethridge; and his wife Jane Tarpley Ethridge. He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Beddingfield (Mitch); his granddaughter Kaley Brooke Beddingfield; his sister Jan Prince; his close friend Kathy Rawls; his pets, Buster, Sadie, Timmy and Phoebe; and his caregivers, Nina, Kayla, Monica, John, Julie-Ann, Miko, Dequitta, Meredith, Kathryn and Brion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
