He was predeceased by: his father Owen Hodges; and his brothers, James and Thomas Hodges. He is survived by: his wife Lois Hodges; his children, Alvin (Tracey), Shawn, Torrence, Kelvis, Vickie and Shirley Ann; his sisters, Lizzie Mae, Eola and Annie L.; his siblings-in-law, Marie Hodges, Lissie Hodges, Willie Pearl of Washington, Brenda Lucas, Daisy Bolden, William and Wilbert Lucas; and his niece Susan Irwin (Henry Lee). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia, where he served on the Food Bank Pantry Ministry until COVID-19.
