It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George E. Shead of Griffin, Georgia, who passed away on November 16, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Shead of Washington and Alma Smith Shead; his wife Virginia Polk Shead; his daughters, Beth and Beverly Shead; his granddaughters, Sherry Lynn Arnold and Maria Arnold; his daughter Sandra Ridgeway (Daniel); and his grandchildren, Missy Carter (Russell), Sandy Pierce, Lisa Dowdy and Tim Ridgeway (Cammy). He was also cherished by eight great grandchildren eleven great great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
