He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luther Shepherd and Corene Shepherd; his wife Phyliss McGhee Shepherd; his former wife Christine Norris Shepherd; his sisters, Winefred Terrell and Betty Montgomery; and his sons, Tim Shepherd (Beth), Danny Gilreath (Lori), Mark Gilreath (Wanda), Ricky Shepherd and Phillip Shepherd. He was also cherished by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
