He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cleary and Elizabeth Staats Cleary (Ruth Rivers Cleary); and his sister Mildred Hackenburg. He is survived by: his siblings, John Cleary, Bob Cleary and Marguaritte Miller; his grandson Scott Smith; his great grandchildren, Rachel Crane, Kyle Smith and Logan Smith; and his great great grandchild Elijah Crane.
