She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Goen and Georgia Harper Goen; her husband Roland Bowles; her siblings, Rufus Goen, Jr. and Jean; and her brothers-in-law, Winston Jones and Charles Stubbs.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Brenda Pierce; and her sister Grace Stubbs. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
