She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Smith and Ruby Dean Smith; and her husband Eugene Ward. She is survived by: her siblings, Evelyn Vickery (Gary), Carol Smith (Bobo), Evelyn Brasher, Willburne Smith and Pat Stanley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
