She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Sederquist and Kathleen Scott Sederquist. She is survived by: her husband Bill Gates; her daughters, Jennifer Jenkins (Chip), Julie Gates (Lanny Cox) and Jill Gates; and her brother Douglas Sederquist (Patricia). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
