He is survived by: his father Kirk Flannigan; his wife Polly Coleman Flannigan; his children, Melissa Fitzpatrick (Jim) and Kirk Flannigan, Jr. (Nancy); his grandchildren, Jack, Genevieve, Nicholas Fitzpatrick, Madison and Reagan Flannigan; his stepgrandchildren, Tanner Wise and Ashley Denning; his sisters, Jean and Joan; his sister-in-law Sandra Coleman Clarke; his son Howard (Kay Coleman Faxon); and his grandchildren, Kim and Brett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
