It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Chamlee of Griffin, Georgia, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William McVay Porter and Annie Lou Maye Porter; her husband Eugene A. Chamlee; her son Lee Alton Maro; and her siblings, Talton, Ralph, Bud, Malcolm, Josie, Flossie, Viola, Jewel, Mattie and Lois.

She is survived by: her children, James Maro (Muriel) of Meansville, Terry Maro (Kaye) of Griffin and Sherrill Meeker of Griffin; and her grandchildren, Robert, Teresa, Elizabeth, Tony and Tina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
