He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ann Hammond Virden; his parents, Otis Jackson Virden and Marie Boyt Virden; and his grandmother Annie Nora Welden Virden. He is survived by: his children, Teri (Wayne Chasteen), Sami (Lyn Shockley), Ivey (Chris Biles) and Jason (Tiffani Virden); his grandchildren, Aspen, Randall Parker, Jordan, Craig Cain, Kaiti, Brian Dunn, Coleman Biles, Hailey Biles, Garrison Biles, Madison, Chase Ponder, Jackson, Leah Virden, T. J. Shockley, Savannah Shockley and Ben Shockley; and his great grandchildren, Bryson Littlejohn, McKaylee Goodman, Hunter Parker, Remington Parker, Mason Cain, Emerson Cain, Stadler Virden, Crew Biles, Landon Shockley, Delilah Pilkenton and Vivienne Shockley.
