She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Rush Dingler and Frances Blackman Clifford; her husband Marshall Edwin Helms; her daughter-in-law Kim Helms; her grandson-in-law Kevin Finley; and her siblings, Vera Bassett, Margaret Woodson and Quinnen Dingler.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Helms (Dana) and Marty Helms; her grandchildren, Tabatha Bates (Jason) and Brooke Finley; and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Elic, Kash, Gracie and Hayden.
