She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bruce Smith and Ola Ferguson Smith; her husband Howard E. Knight; her daughter Karen Seamster; her grandson Joseph Teal; and her sister Bobbie Jean Clubb.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Bennett (Richard), David Knight (Darlene), Lisa Johnson and Jeff Johnson; her grandchildren, Brandon Bennett, Sonya Spedding, David Frazier and Jennifer Knight; and her siblings, Virginia McClain and Lamar Smith. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
