It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Haynes of Griffin, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Henry Brown and Gladys Thaxton Brown; and her husband Horace Grey Haynes. She is survived by: her children, Tim Haynes and Vanessa Lyon; her grandchildren, Cody Haynes, Logan Haynes (Brook) and Rylee Jones; her great grandchildren, Olivia Haynes and Everly Haynes; and her siblings, Edna Newberry, Helen Derso, Willis Brown, Farris Carter and Floyd Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
