She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucian Melton and Dorine Champion Melton; and her stepdaughter Sandra Bell. She is survived by: her husband Leroy George Byrd; her children, Nelson Eddie Burt, Robin Surguine and David Ledford (Danielle); her stepchildren, Pamela Patterson and Hank Byrd; her grandchildren, Priscilla Coffey, Crystal Kurtz, Caleb Patterson, Larry Bell Jr., Ross Bell, Christopher Byrd, Elliott Surguine, Gavin Nunn, Kohlby Brumbelow and Karley Brumbelow; and her siblings, Martha, Linda and Frank. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
