He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Qunnelle "Nell" Thigpen. He is survived by: his father Hildred Thigpen; his wife Tara Thigpen; his son Gatlin Thigpen; his stepchildren, June Camis and Patrick Camis; and his sister Gale Elmore. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
