He was predeceased by : his parents, John Maxey and Effie Maxey; his wife Mary Scoggins Maxey; and his stepson-in-law Jerry Pryor. He is survived by : his children, Cynthia Maxey and David Maxey; his stepchildren, Deborah Nichols Tabor (Donald), Donna Nichols Pryor and Daniel Wesley Nichols (Rose Warner); his stepgrandchildren, Bonnie Alexander, Shelby Mullinax (Phil), Amy Chase (Steve), Wesley Looper, Bradley Nichols (Kathryn), Richard Nichols and Cody Nichols; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Courtnie, Mary Kayte, Caroline, Maddy, Meredith, Morgan, Savannah, Abigail, Hudson, Colin, Corbin and Lorelei; and his great great grandchildren, Leevigh, Dean and Gabriel.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Charles' honor be made to the Shriner's Children's hospital.
