He was predeceased by: his parents, Cateten Anthony Speranza and Elena Marie Thomas Speranza; his son Anthony Speranza; his grandson Taven Speranza; and his siblings, Anthony, Reynold Speranza and Marie Speranza.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Bass-Speranza; his daughters, Andrea Speranza, Lisa Ware and Shelly Reed (Brad); his stepsons, Rodney Wallace (Diana) and Larry Bass; and his sister Carol Speranza. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
