He is survived by : his wife Patricia Payer Rush; his children, James Daniel Rush, Madison Margaret Rush and Sarah Catherine Rush; his granddaughter Ruth Ann Marie Rush; his mother Margie Rush Barrow (Bobby); and his siblings, Bobby Rush (Teresa), Tony Rush and Jan Rush Womble (Todd). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.
