It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Batchelor Jr. of Guyton, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Batchelor; his son John Batchelor, III; and his parents, John Batchelor, Sr. and Malah D. Pack. He is survived by: his siblings, Pam Sebastian (Rick), Cindy Cordero (Francisco), Guerry Batchelor and Mark Batchelor (Michelle); his siblings' children, Jennifer Batchelor, Marcus Batchelor, Heather Browne, Brooke Jones and Megan Bragg; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Wyatt, Bailey, Alexis, Braylynn, Amelia, Harrison, William, Winston and Aaron; and his pet Rebel.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel (2460 GA-21, Rincon, GA 31326). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (121 Noel C Conaway Rd, Guyton, GA 31312).
