He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Shearouse Kessler and Corley Kessler; his former wife Hilda Cox Kessler; his daughter Alicia Kessler; and his siblings, Eloise Zipperer (Herman) and Eugene Kessler (Joyce).
He is survived by: his wife Janelle Seckinger Kessler; his children, Ivy Nettles (Ric) and Travis Kessler (Jonathan); and his siblings-in-law, Kevin Seckinger (Jane) and Betty Wedelken. He is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel (2460 GA-21, Rincon, GA 31326). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (1951 GA-119, Guyton, GA 31312).
