With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Brooker (Guyton, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Susan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Susan. Though Susan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Blackard and Jean Blackard of Appling; her husband Don Brooker of New York; and her brother Greg Blackard of Savannah, GA.. She is survived by: her siblings, David Blackard of Charlotte, NC and Donna Blackard of Memphis, TN; and her siblings' children, Alanna Hilburn of Adairsville, GA, Andrew Blackard of Savannah, Jeanie Matheson of Savannah, GA and Benjamin Blackard of Charlotte, NC..
It was Susan's wishes to have no service, so in lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
