He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy Marxen (Kiser); and his parents, Orville Marxen and Patricia "Patty" Marxen. He is survived by: his daughter Marla Whisnant (Randy); his grandson Nicholas Summersell; and his sisters, Elizabeth Wolfe (Tim Ohlbrecht) and Kimberly Ellis (Jeffery).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home (1979 GA-119, Guyton, GA 31312). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the The Original Crabshack (40 Estill Hammock Rd, Tybee Island, GA 31328).
