He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wilson and Lila Wilson; his son Mark Owens; and his parents-in-law, Amelia and Morgan Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Margo Wilson of Hahira, GA; his son Matthew Everitt Owens of Stark, FL; his grandchildren, Mark Everitt Owens, Jr. and Ariana Owens; his brothers, Charles Wilson of Rockingham, NC and Floyd Wilson of Albany, GA; his brother-in-law Joe Brown of Hahira, GA; and his friend Kraven Radney of Hahira, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Osierfield Community Cemetery.
