She was predeceased by: her parent Laverne Sangster Porter; and her granddaughter Laney Dowdy. She is survived by: her husband Stan Dowdy of Hahira, Georgia; her children, Mike Dowdy (Rhonda Cruce-Dowdy) of Madison, FL, Scot Dowdy (Jan) of Hahira, Georgia and Kylee Weidinger (David) of Valdosta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Zacc Salsgiver, Jessie Stephens, Kina Fletcher, Lissa Moore, Sophia Dowdy, Cole Dowdy, Drew Dowdy, Jack Dowdy, Hollyn Weidinger, Waylon Weidinger and Grady Weidinger; and her sisters, Shirley Alakamovitch of Columbus and Connie Langston of Macon, Georgia. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
