He was predeceased by: his parents, O. L. Smith and Della Smith Behrend; and his parents-in-law, Myrtle and Fred C. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Janice Smith; his daughter Jana; his son-in-law Rodd Watters of Chattanooga; his son Jeff Smith of Cohutta; his siblings, Sandra Barrett of Dalton and Ronnie Smith of Dalton; his grandchildren, Drew, Kellie Smith, Garrett, Ria Smith, Julianne, Justin Clark, Tucker, Jasmine Smith, Matthew Watters and Hudson Smith; his great grandchild Nolan Andrew Smith; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Red Cross or Dawnville United Methodist Church.
