He was predeceased by: his mother Marjorie Ellis Everett; and his brother Tommy Everett. He is survived by: his wife Betty Carpenter Everett; his children, Keith, Cindy Everett of Hampton, Jason, Kim Everett of Williamson, Matthew and Kristy Everett of Zebulon; and his siblings, Sylvia Davis, Linda Watkins, Melvin Everett and Eddie Everett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
