He is survived by: his wife Sharon "MiMi" Barnes; his son Brett Barnes (Emma); his grandchildren, Denver and Brayten; his siblings, Tommy Barnes (Kathy), Ronnie Barnes (Susan), Richard Barnes (Connie), Mike Barnes and Patsy Rapes; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Cowan (Bruce), Gary Grant, Mark Grant (June), Michael Grant (Laura) and Jeffery Grant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Conner Westbury Funeral Home Chapel (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). The military honors was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
