He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Jones and Helen Jones. He is survived by: his wife Maria Lopez; his siblings, Rev. Nathan Jones, Jr. (Marilyn), Edward Jones, Rev. Casey Jones (Mary), Freddie Jones, Gary Jones, Melvin Jones, Alfred Jones (Dorothy), John Jones (Sabrina), Annie Mae Thomas, Frances Moore (Gordon), Alice Jones, Alma Jones, Rosie Jones and Ruth Douglas; his daughters, Jennifer Denise Merriweather and Haylie Ann Zehr; his grandchildren, Shaundreka, Lionel, TaNisha and Lewis Merriweather; his great grandchildren, Mayluana, Montague, Lionel Jr., Luicfer and Shaylee Merriweather; his brothers-in-law, Manuel Lopez, Jr., Michael Lopez (Lisa) and Mark Lopez (Paula); and his aunt Debbie Ingledue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Baptist Church.
