She was predeceased by: her husband Roy E. Stokes; her son Jerry E. Stokes; her son-in-law John W. Mixon; and her brothers, Frank and Raymond Neal.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Ann Stokes Mixon and Gregg Stokes (Denise); her daughter-in-law Lenoir Stokes; her grandchildren, John Stokes (Mandi), Andy Stokes, Mike Stokes (Lisa), Matt Mixon, Michelle Collins (Steve), Kevin Stokes (Courtney), Lindsey Stokes (Harlee), Christie Fuller, Andrew Mason and Zack Mason; and her great grandchildren, Grace, Hannah, Audrey, Kai, Nathan, Madison, Mya, Ann, Kate, Tripp, Trevon and Annie.

Because of Evelyn's passion for sports, memorial contributions may be made to Harlem High School, Softball Fund, 1070 Appling Harlem Highway, Harlem, GA 30814 in her memory.
