She was predeceased by: her husband Angel Ortiz Santiago; her parents, Marshall "Red" Cripps and Lillie Cripps; her brothers, Eddie Lee Cripps and Larry Cripps; and her niece Elaine Cripps Angel.
She is survived by: her children, Angel "AJ" Ortiz, Jr. (Shokotta) and Jennifer Ortiz (Cember Slavens); her brother Odell Cripps (Kay); her nieces, Janice Westmoreland (Bud), Gwen Cripps (Dick) and Laura Lynn Cripps; and her grandchildren, Nevaeh Douglas, Fabien Ortiz, Angel Ortiz III, Roman Ortiz and Calliope Ortiz-Slavens.
The family will be accepting donations in lieu of flowers.
