He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene "Lou" Meyer and Mildred Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Murl Meyer; his daughters, Renee Meyer Dean and Lee Ann Meyer; his siblings, Phillip Meyer (Ann), Anna Lee Meyer Greene (late Bill) and Kathy Jo Meyer Stangle (late Dan); his grandchildren, Anthony Dean, II (Kaitlyn), Meyer Dean (Macie), Byron Dean, Ruth Dean, Hailey Meyer Kornegay (Phoenix) and Richard Marano; and his great grandchildren, Erick Dean, Luke Dean and Sydney Kornegay. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Starling Funeral Home (435 W Milledgeville Rd, Harlem, GA 30814). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Harlem Baptist Church (105 W Milledgeville Rd, Harlem, GA 30814).
