He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Padgett and Audrey Kicklighter Padgett; and his siblings, Marti Griner, Richard Padgett, Sr., Marline Padgett and Charles Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Padgett of Darien; his children, Tara Kroll (Brent) of Hazlehurst and T. J. Poe of Darien; his sisters, Sharon Rozier of Savannah and Judy Rowland of Atlanta; and his grandchildren, Ryan Allen, Caitlin Cattall, Cayden Webb and Tanner Poe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
