He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Louise Johnson and William Fredrick Eberl. He is survived by: his wife Anne Berly Eberl; his sons, Richard Mark Eberl (Chris) and William Scott Eberl (Raynette); his grandchildren, Russell "Russ" Eberl and Christie (Thomas); and his great grandchildren, Layne and Emyrsen McClellan.
