He is survived by: his sons, James Johnson, Waymon Johnson, Jr. and Joseph Johnson; his sisters, Doris Wheeler and Mary Cartledge; and his grandchildren, Richard Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Donny Johnson, Jr., Kelsey Johnson, Sidney Johnson and Genie Merritt. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
