She was predeceased by : her parent Thomas James Smith. She is survived by : her mother Rita Bates Weaver of Harrison; her children, Lillian Copeland (Daniel Smith) of Dublin, Leighann Copeland of Wrightsville and Charles Lee Copeland of Wrightsville; her siblings, Thomas Wayne Smith (Mary) of Harrison and Cheryl Ann Armistead (Jeffery) of Walton County; and her grandchildren, Emma Rose Smith and Aiden Alexander Smith.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the May and Smith Funeral Directors (1119 Riddleville Rd, Sandersville, GA 31082). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (5059 Bartow-Dublin Rd, Wrightsville, GA 31096).
