With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kevin Dwyer Nelson of Hartsfield, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2026 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sylvia Joan Henry; and his brothers, Kerry Nelson, Kendal Nelson and Kris Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Perryman Nelson of Hartsfield; his children, Jerry Nelson (Christy) of Vestavia, Alabama, Courtnee Cochran (Chad) of Atlanta, Ashlee Smith (Kevin) of Braselton, Georgia Britnee Irwin (Bryan) of Monticello and Lennie Flowers of Huntsville, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Sophia Nelson, Margaret Nelson, Chadwick Cochran, Kathrine Cochran, Ansley Cochran, Alora Smith, Kaden Smith, Loralye Irwin, Levi Irwin and Landin Irwin.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Lifespring Community Church (2010 GA-133, Moultrie, GA 31788).
