David R. Baetzel Obituary

In loving memory of David R. Baetzel of Hartwell, Georgia, who departed this world on June 2, 2025 at the age of 83. David leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Baetzel and H. Warren Baetzel. He is survived by: his wife Kay Baetzel; his daughters, Cindy and Bridget; his grandchildren, Ashleigh and Zack; his brothers, Tommy (Shelia Weldon) and Jean (Ted Penrod); and his cousins, Kathy Little, Rick and Diane Kurtz. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and many more cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park (1171 Royston Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in David's name to Faith Lutheran Church, 691 Benson St, Hartwell, GA 30643.
