He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene "Gene" Epps and Ann Huff Brown; his brother Donny Epps; and his daughter Natalie Epps. He is survived by: his wife Beth Epps; his children, Henry Dwayne "DJ" Epps Jr., Bridget Hawks (Shane) and Brandi Carey; his siblings, Dwight Epps, Denise Seagraves (Ricky) and Deana Shields (George); his brothers-in-law, Joe Cheek (Chris), Ronnie Turner (Jean) and Steve Cheek; his grandchildren, Leigh Ann Epps, Walker Hawks, Brianna Hawks, Brody Hawks, Christian Carey and Faith Carey; and his great grandchildren, McKensie Lowe, Nora Lowe and Annalise Colley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church (2085 Bethany Bowersville Rd, Canon, GA 30520). A burial will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery (2085 Bethany Bowersville Rd, Canon, GA 30520).
