He was predeceased by: his parents, James I. Fortson and Bonnie Willis Fortson. He is survived by: his sons, Corey Fortson of Iva, SC and Chris Fortson of Iva, SC; and his brothers, Steve Fortson (Myrtle Beach) and Ron Fortson (Barbara) of Hartwell.
