He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ann Curry Sturghill; his daughters, Latawnya Sturghill, Jaleesa Sturghill and Jolanda Rickett (Khalil); his grandchildren, Tysley Harper, Tysiah Harper (Abby), Ramele Fortson, River Fortson, Khaleah Rickett, Khalayah Rickett and Jacus Rickett; his great grandchildren, Ayla Harper and Aliyas Harper; his brothers, Alvin Sturghill, Winston Sturghill (Beverly), Terah Sturghill (Patricia Stowers), Chris Sturghill (Sandra Brown) and Stacey Sturghill (Sonia Turner); his siblings-in-law, Steve Curry (Patricia), Calvin Curry (Tracy), Clifford Curry (Carolyn) and Linda Pope; his uncle Sammy Stowers; and his aunts, Mary Sue Sturghill and Beatrice Sturghill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mack's Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Hartwell (266 Maple St, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Flat Rock C. M. E. Church (5595 Cokesbury Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643).
